went out with the fo tang people
to marina barrage for countdown .

thanks to li rong for inviting ,
had a great time .

while the ladies had their girls talk ,
johnny and i ended up talking about bodybuilding supplements .

really crowded there , but we managed to get a decent spot
on the bridge .

we annoyingly missed the actual digit countdown ,
and we stepped into 2009 without knowing it .

fireworks were really good though .

we took a reaaallllllly comfy $2 chartered bus to tampines for
early supper , but ended up at a 24/7 vegetarian stall in ang mo kio
cus the tampines one's closed .

the mee pok's was spicy but good heh . i'll have no idea how
to go back there next time though .

shared a cab home with li rong after that .

just came back from a run .

at Singapore general hospital .

stock checking , cashier-ing , counter retail job .

hmm sounds good actually .

i should try around the field abit ,
see what's comfortable for me .

well i took it up .
but the bad news is im now on the waiting list ,
for the interview .

2 weeks .
urgh , i should apply for more jobs meanwhile .

finally the weather is clear enough for me to try my
custom made solar filter .

other than the unusually high amount
of curious onlookers in the day ,

viewing the Sun is an absolutely
wonderful experience .

well about the oath to quit drinking ?

it was utterly shattered yesterday .

no wonder grandpa said i should never drink .

grandpa really knows .

i am really really scared of myself .

and i definitely wouldn't want it to affect any of my friends .

im going to quit drinking NOW ,

with no conditions tied .

no excuses of self proclaimed necessity for drinking .

no self proclaimed occasional and situational drinking .

i shall never drink ever . EVER

its now on the same line as my vegetarianism .

turn out was actually ,

surprisingly decent .

we had a good spread of children , young adults and parents

attending the observation .

and the weather , was superb .

what's it like ?

sorry i havent been updating for awhile .

been pretty tight on things to do recently .

but im finally , untied .

competition's over , pretty glad it is .

i didnt get into the finals ,
but all i know is that i played to my own satisfaction .

i did panicked a bit when i played my first note in the hall ,
becuase ive never heard my notes with such clarity before for a long time .

though anyway , it wasnt really my intention
to join the competition anyway .

but still
it was one heck of a learning journey for me .

till my enlistment in april at least ,

im pretty much unbounded by anything .

what's it like to be free ?
i really have no idea .

i havent actually been this free
ever since i was a kid-playing-toys-and-wondering-whats-for-lunch .
